Reed is in the intermediate class at East West Martial Arts.? To progress towards his next belt he decided to help raise funds for Kent Youth Lacrosse Scholarship Program.? One of Reed?s favorite sports besides martial arts is playing Lacrosse.? His idea was to make use of old planters at his Mom?s work and sell these to raise money towards the scholarship program.
When asked about his project he explained.
?At my mom?s work, I?
asked her what containers she did not need in the warehouse.? I helped her bring them home.? Then I cleaned them and sorted them.? I helped make a poster explaining what the money will go to and I sold them at the Chestertown Farmers Market.? Money from this project will help kids from Kent County afford to play Lacrosse in the spring.? It was really nice to raise over $100 and donate it to Kent Youth Lacrosse.? I love lacrosse and now other kids will be able to play too.?? We handed the check to Mr. Clint Evans, President of Kent Youth Lacrosse.?
